Subject: Bush Forest Plan opposed by Environmentalists 

 
If we had applied the environmentalist's logic (or lack of logic) to 
rivers, streams and the ocean, these waterways would still be bank-less 
and flooding their surroundings every spring. Holland would be under 
water. Florida would be a gigantic swamp. 

Just as mankind tamed these waterways for the betterment of all, we must 
tame other aspects of our environment . . . like the forests. Letting 
forests grow out of control until they burn out of control is a natural 
environmental cycle that we can no longer tolerate. 

It is irresponsible for the US Forest Service and our politicians in 
congress to cater to environmental extremists who ignore common sense 
and apparently want to return the USA and the world to an unmanaged 
wilderness. 

Clearly, mankind must continue to tame the environment while respecting 
it. We must throw politicians, who cater to irrational environmentalist 
claims and support irresponsible environmental policies, out of office. 
They are costing this country thousands of high paying jobs, squandering 
this countries natural resources, increasing the cost of our raw 
materials, and lowering the standard of living of all Americans.
