Good news! The Mayor of Tracy gave us the huge Park & Ride lot adjacent to I-205 and the West Valley Mall! Location, location, location! This is growing like an invading alien species (The Tomato That Ate New York?)!

The Freedom 21 leader in Santa Cruz is coming and wants to speak on Agenda 21. Congressman Pombo is still trying to fit us in.his opponent will not have as hard a time with her schedule. No response from the "Simon for Governor" headquarters. The City Council will speak for us; we picked up two new convoy locations: Santa Cruz and Sonoma; and The California Grange representative is going to speak for us!

EVENT: Sawgrass Rebellion fundraiser for Klamath, Oregon farmers and beleagured Florida residents and farmers, with some education painlessly inserted

DATE: September 29, 2002

OUTSTANDING LOCATION courtesy of the City of Tracy and Mayor Dan
Bilbrey: Park & Ride lot adjacent to I-205 and the West Valley Mall

FORMAT: Auction, informational speakers, fun

FOOD: We've asked the Future Farmers of America (FFA) to cook and serve as a fundraiser for themselves (hotdogs/soda/water). Other food available within walking distance (at the Mall).

PARKING: Ample between lot spaces and mall lot spaces for overflow

TIME: 1400-1800 hours. This allows for setup and teardown time. Actual rally planned for 1500-1700 hours depending on Congressman Pombo's schedule.

SPEAKERS: Congressman Pombo (unconfirmed), Simon (no Response), Freedom 21 (confirmed), California Grange (confirmed), City Council candidate Irene Sundberg (confirmed), Mountain Coalition (confirmed), many others still unconfirmed
